The rotor is a mechanical device that moves in a rotating manner. No rotor is perfectly balanced and there is always an unbalanced mass in the rotor system. This can happen due to various reasons, such as inhomogeneous materials during the production process, and asymmetrical designs. If the unbalance state of the rotor is not detected at an early stage, it will result in structural damage, loss of energy, and reduced service life. There needs to be a balancing process to reduce the force caused by rotor imbalance. At least the rotor balancing is divided into two types, namely single plane and two plane balancing.
